The Grand Old Party
Who's down with GOP? Every last Romney. Michigan Republicans celebrated the opening of an Ann Arbor campaign office for United States presidential candidate Mitt Romney Tuesday afternoon. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley was on hand for the event at the Ann Arbor Victory Center, 4695 Washtenaw Ave. A group of about a dozen people marched in protest. Read the story.

Back by popular demand ... Stan. He chews stuff. Shoes, flip-flops, shorts. He don't care. He's just a lil' puppy.

The Reverend Jesse

Ann Arbor Art Fair 2012
Art Fair has something for everyone. My personal favorite find this year was a fountain made of old trumpets. Rick Heard of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the artist behind this trash-to-treasure creation, shown in the first photo. More of his whimsical work can be seen in the second photo. Scroll down for more scenes from this year's Art Fair, including a blacksmithing demonstration by a faculty member from the College for Creative Studies and the Violin Monster performing and being interviewed by NPR. On a personal note, the Friday night of Art Fair marked the exact three-year anniversary of my move to Ann Arbor. It's been an amazing three years and I'm still loving it here. Thanks, Tree Town.
