Art Moderne

Though downtown Ann Arbor's historic bus depot on Huron Street is no more, its limestone and marble facade and classic neon sign have been lovingly preserved, and now its history is on display for all to see. Community leaders and residents gathered outside the newly built Residence Inn hotel at the corner of Huron and Ashley streets on April 13, 2016, to celebrate the dedication of two new historic markers for the depot as part of the Downtown Ann Arbor Historical Street Exhibit Program. This Is A Good Sign

Crews were out early Friday morning removing the historic bus depot sign from the Greyhound building in downtown Ann Arbor. The 1940s-era sign is being placed in storage while a new six-story, 110-room Residence Inn by Marriott is constructed where the bus depot now stands. Read the story.
