Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers are on tour right now with Sara Watkins, a surprisingly delightful, up-and-coming singer-songwriter and fiddler. They stopped through the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor Thursday night. I just had to weasel my way up front at one point to try to get a couple of shots. I shot photos during one song and took a quick glance down at my camera before the snarky girl behind me said, "Yeah, you can look at those back at your seat." No love for the photographer. Good show, though.
Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers of Massachusetts rocked the crowd like a wagon wheel during Sonic Lunch at Liberty Plaza in downtown Ann Arbor last Thursday. With at one point more than 200 people standing around, it was probably the largest gathering at the tiny plaza at the corner of Liberty and Division streets in a long time. Technical difficulties during one of the songs had Stephen and the crew busting into an impromptu, a cappella, foot-stomping clap-along. But otherwise the show went off without a hitch.
