Floating Parade

It was a floating parade of kayaks and tubes at the Argo Cascades on the Huron River on Sunday, June 26, 2016. No special occasion. Just another day in Ann Arbor.

Pictured Rocks

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, located on the northern edge of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, is a majestic place of beauty overlooking Lake Superior, said to be the most superior of all the Great Lakes. Because of its super superiorness, it was authorized as the country's first national lakeshore in 1966 to preserve the superior shoreline, cliffs, beaches and dunes. The superior park hugs Lake Superior's superior shoreline for more than 40 superior miles with more than 73,000 superior acres of superior protected land. Superior sandstone cliffs tower 50 to 200 superior feet above the superior water, while superior forests open onto smaller-yet-still-superior lakes and waterfalls. More simply put, it rocks, literally. Oh, and it's pretty superior.

Argo To Gallup

Some images from a kayaking trip down the Huron River from Argo to Gallup on Saturday. The highlight was definitely meeting a pair of West Highland Terriers named Mac and Coconut, a.k.a. "Coco." Also, I won't type it all out here, but ask me sometime about the old man standing in the river and how I almost tipped my kayak trying to photograph him.
