Breakfast Is Served

The squirrels are often ready and waiting, peeking around the side of my catalpa tree, when I put out a fresh frisbee full of sunflower chips in the morning. They will come up to me and give me that look to guilt-trip me if I go a few days without giving them a refill. It's a peaceful co-existence and I greatly enjoy their playful presence. My dog even accepts that we share our yard with these critters.

March For Our Lives in Ann Arbor

Thousands came out for the March For Our Lives at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, one of many similar rallies and marches held nationwide to protest gun violence and call for gun control reforms on Saturday, March 24, 2018. More than a month after a Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the movement demanding an end to the epidemic of gun violence in America continues.
