Privacy Concerns

The Ann Arbor Planning Commission voted 6-0 Tuesday night to allow the brothers of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of Michigan to convert the Memorial Christian Church at 730 Tappan Ave. to a fraternity house. The chapter will be allowed to have up to 44 of its members living there. Planning Commissioner Jean Carlberg shared the concern that exterior lights from the fraternity house could shine into the windows of the adjacent Delta Delta Delta sorority house.
